The ultimate act of hypocrisy

‘Three days’. The ultimate act of hypocrisy!

Since the Ukrainian incursion into the Russian Oblast of Kursk there have been some small territorial gains by Russia followed by some successful counter attacks. These grinding and expensive advances into Donbas make very little strategic difference to the war. That said, an advancing army is always happier than a retreating one,

Ukrainian innovation continues to take the advantage. They now have thermite drones that can burn a trenchline, a storage area or even a forest in minutes. Rather than rely on western technology they have developed their own long range weapons that can reach Moscow. The success of air defence is twofold, how much gets shot down, in contrast to how much gets through.

Yesterday it was reported that UA drones struck airports in and close to Mocow. Putin called this ‘an act of international terrorism’, the ultimate act of hypocrisy! Romania has just supplied another Patriot air defence system to Ukraine with all support systems and ammunition. This will conveniently be replaced soon by the USA.

Since Putin launched his ‘Special Military Operation’ which was intended to last three days, he has taken an estimated 650,000 casualties, forced the world to impose sanctions on his people, set his once wealthy nation on the path to bankruptcy, lost his intelligencia in mass emmigration and, (for icing on the cake), had an international arrest warrant imposed on him and his leadership group for war crimes.

Apart from the tragic fact that thousands are unnecessarily dying in combat every day, it appears to many writers that the war is stagnating. They couldn’t be more wrong! The war isn’t only taking place on battlefields, it is being won in government meetings, in commitments to continue support for Ukraine, in banks, in sanctions and in public support. Where we risk losing it most is in negative, slanted and frankly, dangerous propaganda repeated by corporate media outlets including national news companies and television stations. Some of course are funded by Russia others simply place their own short term profits ahead of the murdered people of Ukraine.

It is not simply the responsibility of journalists to report news, it is their job to report news responsibly!

According to a Bloomberg report, Ukraine faces not only a need for more weapons but also for permission to use them effectively. The article criticizes the U.S. approach, arguing that by supplying weapons to Ukraine while restricting their use, particularly in striking targets within Russian territory, the Biden administration is effectively limiting Kyiv’s ability to defend itself and bring the war to a quicker end.

The report suggests that if President Biden truly wants to help Ukraine in its fight against Russia, he should allow the Ukrainian military to use American weapons more freely. While the U.S. government has pledged “unwavering support” for Ukraine, the article points out that, in practice, Washington has exercised significant caution, which may inadvertently benefit Russia and prolong the conflict.

  1. The only strategy that Biden’s feeble mind can concoct is how to intercept the ice cream truck, but even that’s sometimes quite sketchy.
You think the Anglo-Saxon world of news is less than good in this regard? Scan the German news to see what bad really means. It’s no wonder the vast majority of Germans are so clueless.
