Attack on the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery in Russia: intelligence made a statement

The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate announced the disruption of the enemy’s plans.

As a result of a drone attack in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery (refinery ) stopped working. This was announced by Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, during a telethon.

He noted that a number of events are taking place in Russia at military facilities.

“The Novoshakhtinsky oil plant is a military facility that supplies and supports the occupation group in Ukraine. We do not comment on the information in more detail. In principle, everyone can watch events frequently and online,” Yusov said.

According to him, the work of the enterprise has been stopped.

“This means that there will be problems and disruptions to certain plans of the enemy, as well as additional opportunities and time for our defenders,” Yusov said.The Main Intelligence Directorate and the SBU have not officially confirmed their participation in this operation.

“We will not confirm this, but we will not deny it either,” the intelligence representative noted.

Yusov noted that the cessation of work at Russian oil refineries is a fairly positive result, because “you won’t be filling your tanks with crude oil.” At the same time, he also joked that Russian military targets are being hit by “unknown flying objects (UFOs) of Ukrainian origin, probably.”

As UNIAN reported, this night three oil refineries were attacked by drones at once – in Ryazan (Tatarstan), Kstovo (Nizhny Novgorod region) and Kirishi (Leningrad region), as well as an air base and a military airfield in the Voronezh region.

UNIAN sources in law enforcement agencies confirm that attacks on oil refineries are a continuation of a series of special operations against enemy refineries that the Security Service had previously launched . We are talking about measures to reduce the economic potential of the Russian Federation, depriving it of resources and reducing the flow of oil money and fuel, which the Russian Federation sends directly to the war.

Today the media reported that in the Rostov region, kamikaze attack drones of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked the Novoshakhtinsky oil products plant.
