“It’s like a breath of air for us to see so much ammunition”: the Ukrainian Armed Forces received shells near Avdiivka

Two weeks ago, the Defense Forces’ ammunition depots in this direction were completely empty.

The Ukrainian military received rockets for the Grad MLRS in the Avdeevsky direction , thanks to which they were able to repel enemy assaults, according to the TSN story.

In particular, the Grad MLRS began to be used significantly less at the front due to a number of factors. Among them are the efficiency of FPV drones and the lack of ammunition. It was because of the second, according to the artillerymen, that their installation was not used at all in the combat zone for a certain time.

“It’s like a breath of air for us to see so much ammunition. It makes our souls happy to have the opportunity to help the infantry, we are happy to load them,” says the unit commander with the call sign “Sedoy.”

The warehouses, which were completely empty two weeks ago, now have a certain amount of ammunition. Also, a fully loaded MLRS with 40 shells was caught on video. Some of the ammunition can hit a distance of up to 40 km, others up to 20 km.

“Grad” is generally a very scary thing and it has a very great potential, which in our time is not fully realized due to the lack of ammunition. To release 40 pieces at a time, even 10 times a day, is 400 supplies per day. I don’t think that anywhere in the world now anyone is producing so many missiles for the Grad in principle,” says military officer Bogdan.

He also added that now they are given about 10 ammunition per day, during the night they received 3 targets that needed to be struck.

“Shell famine” in the Defense Forces: important news

Earlier it became known that the 800 thousand artillery shells promised to Ukraine, which the Czech Republic “found” outside the EU , will be delivered to Kiev in the coming weeks.

According to military expert Oleg Zhdanov, the Ukrainian Defense Forces can increase their firepower every day thanks to the supply of shells from allies.

  1. Glad to hear some is getting through. It’s one thing supply and demand issues, but to allow this to happen is a crimson stain on the hands of the allies. We can do waaaay better. Forgive us Ukraine for being dumbasses.
