All Ukrainians should know this!

On November 3, 1937, in the Sandormokh tract, the Bolsheviks physically destroyed virtually the entire cream and elite of the Ukrainian intelligentsia. Writers, poets, screenwriters, artists, sculptors, scientists, directors, historians. Later, these people and their legacy were called the “Executed Renaissance.”

At the same time, the “fault” of the vast majority of these people was only that they were Ukrainians and created in the Ukrainian language, acting as bearers of the Ukrainian mentality.

Among them were Les Kurbas, Mykola Zerov, Mykola Kulish, Valerian Pidmohylny, Pavlo Filipovych, Myroslav Irchan, Marko Voronyi, and many other representatives of the national intelligentsia.

More than a hundred people were shot in one day. Over four days of executions, 1,111 prisoners of Solovki were killed. In total, during the existence of the Solovki (later the NKVD special prison), about 50,000 people died…

Later, these people and their legacy were called the “Executed Renaissance.”

Sandarmokh is a crime without a statute of limitations.
