A small arms company is on fire in the Moscow region after a UAV attack

The institute specializes in the development of small arms, combat equipment, and ammunition.

In Podolsk, Moscow Region , an important facility of the Russian military-industrial complex – an enterprise engaged in the development of small arms – has been damaged and is on fire after a drone attack on the region. ASTRA writes this , analyzing published footage of the fire.

It is reported that the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (CNRDITochMash) in the Klymovsk microdistrict in Podolsk was under attack.

This enterprise is part of the Rostec state corporation. It specializes in the development of small arms, combat equipment and ammunition. The most famous of them are the Ratnik combat equipment, the AS Val silent machine gun, as well as the VSS Vintorez silent sniper rifle and the SR-1 Gyurza self-loading pistol.

The institute is under sanctions by the EU, the US, Ukraine, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, and New Zealand.

Drone attack on Moscow

It was previously reported that hundreds of drones were flying over Moscow and the regions. As a result of the attack, at least 5 fire outbreaks were recorded over the Moscow region.

According to ASTRA, an oil depot in Podolsk was attacked and is burning, a warehouse in the “Southern Gate” industrial complex in Domodedovo was attacked and is burning, and a drone also hit a residential high-rise building. The fourth center of the fire was the Central Research Institute of Machine Tools in Podolsk. The fifth center has not yet been identified.

At the same time, Exilenova+ reports that the Wildberries logistics center in Koledino , the company’s largest hub, was attacked. The Hryvno industrial park in Motovylovo was also attacked.
