After Putin’s decision to recognize the “LDNR”, a huge column of tanks and armored vehicles entered the occupied Donetsk, it is moving towards the front line.

This was reported to Radio Liberty by residents of the occupied city.

Eyewitnesses said that this happened at about 22:00 on February 21. The column passed through the center of the city and moved for an hour. Donetsk residents say they have not seen such a quantity of vehicles in the last eight years:

 “We lost count on the hundredth unit. I was walking from Donetsk along the highway between Donetsk and Makiivka, presumably in the direction of Yasinovataya. We were driving to the highway from the center of Donetsk”;

“Tanks, a lot. And armored personnel carriers. And they were carrying people. The vehicles drove for an hour.”

Recognition of “LNR” and “DNR” by Russia

Recall that on the evening of February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to  recognize the terrorist groups “DPR” and “LPR”  and signed “agreements” with the leaders of pseudo-republics. With these documents, Putin approved the immediate introduction of the Russian army into the occupied Donbass .

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already discussed this decision with US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The world has already called the recognition of the independence of the “LPR” a violation of international law and the territorial integrity of Ukraine, condemning Putin’s decision.
