“LDNR” will be recognized by Russia within the borders of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

This was reported to RIA Novosti by the head of the Duma Committee on the CIS Kalashnikov.

As early as Monday, February 21, Andrey Klimov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation on Foreign Affairs, stated that Russia recognizes the “republics” within “the borders that are now actually established.”

On Monday evening, Putin recognized the “LDNR” and signed friendship treaties with his puppets, the leaders of the armed formations of the “republics” Pushilin and Pasechnik, ordering Russian troops to deploy, as Moscow claims, a “peacekeeping operation.”

A number of countries around the world condemned the actions of the Russian leadership, calling such a decision by the head of the Kremlin a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that with this, the Russian Federation actually announced its withdrawal from the Minsk agreements.

The United States immediately imposed sanctions against trade with the “LDNR” and is preparing an expanded package of restrictions against the Russian Federation. In addition, Britain plans to announce the imposition of sanctions against Russia on February 22.

US President Joe Biden called Putin’s recognition of the “LDNR” a threat to the national security of the United States.

Now the Russian Federation has concentrated almost 200,000 Russian soldiers near the border of Ukraine, which, as the West fears, the Kremlin may involve in a full-scale attack.

However, Kiev considers provocations by the Russian occupiers in Donbas more likely, which, if successful, may give the Russians a reason to invade the territory controlled by Ukraine.
