Zhytomyr region was liberated from Russian troops.
This was announced by the head of the Zhytomyr regional military administration Vitaliy Bunechko.
“In the Zhytomyr region, the enemy was driven back, and some of the Russians themselves left. As of April 4, there are no Russian occupation troops in the region. It is important for the local population to understand that the invaders left, having mined private houses and forests,” he said.
The head of the UVA added that the invaders partially left their equipment and ammunition in the region. Bunechko also noted that the departure of the occupiers is a redeployment, and the Russian troops continue to fire rockets at peaceful cities and villages of Ukraine.
Earlier it became known that on the territory of the Sumy region there are no longer any settlements captured by the Russians, however, separate groups of enemy troops still remain in the region, they are being cleaned up.
