Along with scepticism over whether Vladimir Putin has indeed agreed to stop targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure for a week, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has addressed reports that he’s been invited to Moscow by the Russian president.
He says he is ready for “any format” of leaders’ summit, but not one that takes place in Moscow, calling such a move “impossible”.
Zelenskyy says he would also not meet Putin in Belarus, a country with strong ties to the Kremlin.
“It is absolutely impossible for me to meet with Putin in Moscow. That would be the same as meeting with Putin in Kyiv,” he said.
“I can just as well invite him to Kyiv – let him come. I am publicly inviting him, if he dares, of course.”
