The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has allowed 20 “neutral” athletes who are citizens of the Russian Federation and Belarus to participate in the Winter Olympics .

The list was posted on the website by the Commission for Review of the Eligibility of Individual Neutral Athletes. Thus, 13 Russian athletes and 7 Belarusians accepted the IOC invitation.

The Russians will compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics with: figure skaters Petro Gumennik and Alelia Petrosyan, skiers Saveliy Korostelov and Daria Nepryayeva, ski mountaineer Nikita Filippov, short track speed skaters Ivan Posashkov and Elena Krylova, speed skaters Ksenia Korzhova and Anastasia Semenova, alpine skiers Semen Yefimov and Yulia Pleshkova, and lugers Daria Olesyk and Pavel Repilov.

Among the Belarusians who will go to the Olympic competitions are: freestylers Anna Guskova, Anastasia Andriyanova, Anna Derugo, alpine skier Maria Shkanova, speed skater Marina Zueva, skier Anna Koroleva, and figure skater Victoria Safonova.

Winter Olympics-2026

The 2026 Olympic Games will be held from 4 to 22 February in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. More than 3,500 athletes will compete in 16 sports and 116 medal events. Ski mountaineering will make its Olympic debut at the 2026 Games in Italy

On November 26, 2025, the Olympic flame for the 2026 Winter Games was lit in Greece . This time, the flame was lit in a modest setting. In particular, due to weather conditions, the ceremony was held indoors in Ancient Olympia, where the torch of the   2026 Winter Olympics was lit.

On January 6, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine reported that our athletes have obtained 20 licenses in five sports.

  1. More corruption to relieve the Moskali of their war crimes. The people of the world said putin shouldn’t be rewarded for his war crimes but, again, another international body decided they are above the will of the people.

  2. The IOC is a deeply corrupt entity and for that reason alone I never watch the Olympics. Letting drugged-up “athletes” from war criminal nations to compete is another important reason.
