President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he expects to discuss with French President Emmanuel Macron his ideas for strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities, including the possibility of sending Western troops to Ukraine.

Details: Zelenskyy noted that he did not attend the summit in Paris earlier this week, where the possibility of sending Western troops to Ukraine was discussed.
“He [Macron] said he would talk about some new ideas on how to strengthen Ukraine. And he said that he would share the information with me when he arrives in Ukraine. I think he officially said in the media that he would be there in mid-March,” he added.
Zelenskyy expressed hope that during the meeting, Macron would share with him the details of his proposal, “and I will happily answer such questions.”
“But the most important thing to understand is that when we share different initiatives, they are all like the second, third or fourth step. And the first step is to protect and remain strong,” Zelenskyy stressed.

I do hope Zelenskyy is aware that this only had been a publicity stunt by Macron? This further feeds my concern that he’s losing the grip on reality. 😳
Estonia and one or two other countries are saying the same. They might be testing the waters to see the reaction from mafia land, or the Europeans with a wobbly spine.
Ok, Foccusser, this may be behind it, and Zelenskyy may play along to make this more believable. Makes sense, too. 🤔
No, Mr. Gray, Macron woke up one morning and realized what new reality that the free world is in.
Perhaps, Mr. Ofp, but I don’t think Macron’s the kind of guy to jump into cold water because of a sudden change of mind. 🤔
I’m no psychologist, so I don’t know where his sudden concept might come from. Maybe he’s got an expert/adviser who is a realist, and he finally listened to him.
But, it really doesn’t matter. The important thing is that this topic is out in the open, for whatever it’s worth.
I know very well that this idea is a virtual nightmare for the vast majority of leaders in Europe, yet I still don’t want this topic to die. No pun intended.
I’m very grateful for Macron to have brought this concept to life because it serves two purposes. One, it serves as an eye-opener. Many in Europe are still not aware of the new era that we’ve entered in February 2022. Macron’s push that NATO troops must not be left off the table illuminates this fact. Two, once a topic has been born, it has a chance to grow to maturity.
Whatever might be said now, in a few months, a half a year, a year later, or whenever, when a new reality emerges in this war, those words will become completely superfluous. I hope that this doesn’t have to come to pass. I hope that Ukraine will receive what it needs to defeat the roach army once and for all. That would be the best case scenario. NATO troops in Ukraine would be only the second-best case. Digging trenches before Berlin means game over.
I think it also depends on what the goal is. To push the orcs back into their cage or regime change.
Until there is a Red Square Maidan, the orcs will keep coming.
For the moment, I’d be happy for two minimum things to happen. One, the roaches are chased back into their cesspool, and two, Ukraine can keep them out, this includes a solid air defense system. Whatever happens in the shithole doesn’t matter then.
There is a third happiness happening, a best case scenario; the roach army is completely destroyed, the remnants go back into the cesspool and rage in mafia land, which will cause a civil war there and a total collapse of the system and the country.
Ukraine needs ammo, planes and helicopters, not meat puppets.
Of course, that’s exactly right, and this talk might get them to move their asses faster in this regard.
