Kyiv and Budapest can conclude a document on the regulation of joint relations.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, who arrived in Kyiv , held talks. As UNIAN correspondent reports, Zelensky and Orban made brief statements to the press without the opportunity to ask questions.
“Today, Mr. Prime Minister Orban and I discussed the most fundamental issues of our neighborly relations: trade, cross-border cooperation, infrastructure and energy issues. We talked today about the humanitarian sphere. About everything that affects the lives of our people both in Ukraine and in Hungary, in particular, they discussed the opening of a Ukrainian school in Hungary,” said Zelenskyi.
The President noted that the Hungarian Prime Minister assured support for this project. “Thank you very much, Viktor,” said Zelensky.
“In general, the content of our dialogue on all our issues can become the basis for a future bilateral document between our states. A document that will regulate all our mutual relations, which can be based on a mirror approach to the bilateral relations between Ukraine and Hungary, and which will allow our peoples to enjoy all the benefits of unity in Europe,” Zelensky emphasized.
He added that he had agreed with Orbán that teams from both countries would continue working on the details of joint solutions.

Orban’s visit to Ukraine
On Tuesday, July 2, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban arrived in Kyiv. His visit takes place at a time when Hungary takes over the EU presidency. Orbán will visit the country for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
The mass media reported that the negotiations regarding the visit were long . The main topic will allegedly be the issue of the rights of the Hungarian-speaking minority in Ukraine, which lives in the extreme west of Ukraine near the border between the two countries.

Orban also had to run to a bomb shelter with Zelensky. Perhaps that changed his calculus a little.
