Judging by its reporting of the death of Peter Fouché.

July 2, 2024
That’s how BBC World reports the deaths of volunteers in the third year of the full-scale Russian invasion.
“Battlefield” – just as the front line is a joke to them, it exists only in the Ukrainians’ imagination.
Dies – not killed by a Russian missile/grenade/artillery shell, just dies. He could have choked on a piece of bread, couldn’t he?

Peter was killed in fact, killed by Russia. But the BBC strenuously decline to name the aggressor, in this article, and in much of their output. It’s journalistic timidity and appeasement in action, unfortunately. Moral bankruptsy in the face of tyranny and aggression.
An absolutely sloppy and frankly disgusting framing of the story. Is anyone from the BBC listening?! BBC BBC News BBC Russian Service Moscow

Pete was a British citizen who gave his life for the freedom of others. BBC what is wrong with you?

I’ve met Peter last year. I can not describe how amazing this man was. His moral compass and influence were some of the reasons I’ve started to spend every free second in Donbas. I was truly shocked to hear the news about him.
And with that, I can only say: “Hasta La Vista” brother Pete. We will miss your random 3 am pep talks on the radio ❤️

RIP Pete, may your legacy never be forgotten and may it become a pillar of survival and strength for your children and friends.

Mr Fouche was a truly exceptional man. He can be seen on several YouTube videos. The following emotional clip brings a lump to the throat. Just so sad ….

I salute this passionate man, his bravery and his memory. A terrible loss for Ukraine.
Death to the cauldron of devilry.
He truly gave his heart and soul to doing all he could to help many Ukrainians.
R.I.P. brother in Christ.
