President Volodymyr Zelensky is sure that the accumulation of Russian troops on the borders of Ukraine is only psychological pressure.

According to the press service of the head of state , he stated this during a meeting with representatives of business circles – members of the European Business Association.

“We believe that the accumulation of troops near the borders is psychological pressure from our neighbors. We do not see anything new in this. As for whether there are risks, there are risks and they have not ended since 2014. The question is the degree of these risks and how we respond to them,” the president’s press service quoted the president as saying.

Therefore, as Zelensky noted, the issue of security should not affect the life of the country. The President stressed that the economic situation in Ukraine today is stable, which is reflected in the strengthening of the hryvnia.

“The main task of the president and the government of the country is business, the economy, the investment climate. Everyone understands what kind of neighbor we have, but this should not affect the economy,” his press service quotes the president.

Recall that in 2014 Russia seized the Ukrainian Crimea, invaded part of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions and supported the militants who created the so-called “DNR” and “LNR”.

In the fall of 2021, the Russian Federation aggravated the situation on the border with Ukraine – it pulled together a lot of military and equipment. In Ukraine and in the West, they  started talking about the threat of invasion .

At the end of January 2022, the head of the Ministry of Defense of our country, Alexei Reznikov, said that the Russian side had  deployed about 130,000 troops to the Ukrainian border .

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that Russian troops  near the border of Ukraine are not enough for a full-scale invasion .

It is noteworthy that in early January, the speaker of Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov  , argued that it was Ukraine that could attack the Russian Federation, and not vice versa.
