Russia did not stop its attacks on Ukrainian energy sector.
Ukraine will resume strikes on Russian oil refineries in response to Moscow’s attacks, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced. This move comes after the Ukrainian leader accused US President Donald Trump and Elon Musk of restricting Kyiv’s military access to SpaceX Starlink satellite technology.

This further deepened the rift between Washington and Kyiv. Zelenskyy, in an interview with the Financial Times , announced that he had suspended energy strikes for three days to comply with the “energy ceasefire” announced by Trump. Meanwhile, Moscow continued to attack Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
In recent days, Russian media have reported alleged Ukrainian drone strikes on several oil refineries, specifically those in the Saratov and Ryazan regions. Zelenskyy’s aide, Dmitry Litvin, however, declared the Russian claims to be false.
“Business between the US and Russia is interesting. The question is, when will the next deal be? It could be gas. It will definitely be gas,” Zelenskyy emphasized in the same interview.
