President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with US President Joe Biden how else to put pressure on Russia to end the war and establish peace.

This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in a video message.

“Russia will be deprived of the opportunity to trade normally with the G7 countries. The less dollars Russian business earns and the less taxes the Russian state receives, the less opportunities the Russian military will have to kill our people,” the President of Ukraine notes.

He notes that leading international companies are already leaving the Russian market. According to him, the Russian authorities “placed their country outside the global world, starting a war against us, starting this invasion, this is self-closure, self-abasement and self-destruction.”

Zelensky noted that the dollar exchange rate in Moscow exchange offices had already reached even 200 rubles.

“But this is only the beginning. The beginning of international sanctions. The next step is to ban the United States from sending dollars to Russia at all. This means that there will be a shortage of currency. This means that the exchange rate will jump even more. This means that prices will rise. This means that everyone a citizen of Russia will feel that the absence of peace is a threat to him personally,” the President of Ukraine stressed.

  1. Well said, Zelensky! You have even time to be ‘Vice-President ‘of the USA, WITH THOSE ADVISES!

  2. Ukraine needs urgent and decisive assistance now. From the Telegraph a few minutes ago:

“The fight for Kyiv will be Russia’s new “Stalingrad if they want to make it so”, a Ukrainian MP has said.

Sviatoslav Yurah told the BBC’s Radio 4 Today programme: “It’s a massive town of millions and if the Russians try to come in they will have quite a fight on their hands – this will be their Stalingrad if they want to make it so.

“Nobody is going to surrender – I can definitely guarantee you that.”

Stalingrad was the deadliest battle of the Second World War, when around 1.1 million Soviet and 800,000 Nazi German and Romanian troops died.

The capital is braced for a full-scale Russian assault in the coming days, as British intelligence suggested that the bulk of Putin’s ground forces are now located around 25 kilometres from the centre of the city.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the country was at a “strategic turning point” in the war.”

Surely the world cannot stand by wringing its hands while horror on this scale is happening?

    • I remember how things worked out in Bosnia in the early 90s. The world let the Serbians shell Sarajevo until people started pressuring their governments to end the slaughter and NATO went in. NATO did wrong with Kosovo, tho.

    • 800 years ago Genghis Khan ventured west and destroyed everything up to Kyiv. At the time, Kyiv was considered the Third Rome. Genghis Khan burnt Kyiv but the people kept fighting and fighting. Kyiv stood up the Khan and protected Europe from the onslaught. Years later Genghis Khan sent his son and his grandsons to finish off Kyiv but they failed too. Genghis Khan went no further than Kyiv and the Golden Horde was defeated. Now Kyiv needs to protect Europe from a second Golden Horde and no matter what they do to Kyiv, Kyiv will stand because it is not a city of buildings it is a city of people that will not and can not surrender.

      • I wonder how long putler would continue his bombardment if he knew that for every putinazi missile hit on Kyiv, ten would hit Moskva or SP?

        • I saw a short video today that almost literally broke my heart. In Kharkiv they have gathered dozens….perhaps 40 infants in one shelter. None of them were crying and all were being good all bundled up in their winter gear. ALL of them have become orphans the last 2 weeks.
We will never forget this and it cannot be forgiven.

          • How much longer must Ukraine suffer this horror? There must be a decisive intervention.
            Yahoo news :
“Russia has warned the United States that Western shipments of weapons to Ukraine could become “legitimate targets” if they continue, raising the risk of a possible escalation of the conflict.

Sergei Ryabkov, Russia’s deputy foreign minister, told state television that Moscow had warned “about the consequences of the thoughtless transfer to Ukraine of weapons like man-portable air defence systems, anti-tank missiles and so on”.

“We warned the United States that the orchestrated pumping of weapons from a number of countries is not just a dangerous move, it is a move that turns these convoys into legitimate targets,” he said.

He added that Russia and the White House were not currently holding any “negotiation processes” on the war in Ukraine.

The warning comes as President Joe Biden insisted last night that the US or Nato would not enter into a direct conflict with Russia – or send fighter jets from Poland to the Ukrainian air force – as it would equate to the start of “World War Three, something we must strive to prevent”.

            • Bidenov has had his ass up in the air for Put-In since he got elected. He seems willing to let Ukraine go in belief that Putin would stop with just occupying Ukraine. It shows that him and his Generals know nothing about Ukraine and they believe Russian propaganda.

  3. It seems like around a week ago, that the ruble was trading at 100 for 1 US dollar, and now it’s 200?

Maybe there’s going to be russian hyperinflation? That’s what happens when someone needs literally millions of rubles just to buy a loaf of bread.
