We seem to be living in a world scripted by Hollywood B movie writers. The heading is the famous catchphrase of the trenchant British conservative polemicist Richard Littlejohn. 

Richard btw is a supporter of Ukraine and helped the DM to raise £millions for Ukraine charities. 

The current US president is a convicted sex pest whose son boasts of a disproportionately huge level of russian investment in the family business. The president described putin’s actions when unleashing genocide on Ukraine as “genius.”

The president recently declared: “I love russians”, which is no different from FDR or Churchill saying “I love Germans”, at a time when the Holocaust was already an established fact.

The president never criticises the mass murdering fiend, yet never loses an opportunity to sneer at the beleaguered, democratically elected president of a key ally; Ukraine. Talk about kicking a man when he’s down!

The president declared he would end the war in 24 hours. Then it became 100 days and now six months. 

Before “negotiations” can begin; if they ever do, the president put all his cards on the table as key members of his team; one by one, surrendered Ukrainian territory. Some of them verbally have gifted Ukrainian land, like Rubio, Vance, Colby, Bannon etc. Others have actually put it in writing : the statement of Elon Musk on X, which could have been written by Dmitry Peskov, the OpEd by those titans of statesmanship DT Jr and RFK Jr, the statement by Bryan Lanza and of course the most rotten piece of anti-Ukraine drivel imaginable produced by the ghastly Keith Kellogg, entitled :

Essentially this report blames Biden, keeps Ukraine neutral and gifts Ukrainian land to savages. If implemented, it would be a disgrace for America even worse than Budapest and would ensure that Ukraine is under constant threat from one of the most evil criminal regimes in all history*. Possibly for decades; certainly for as long as fascist imperialism remains the core ideology in that benighted land.

The president should change course, declare Captain Cornflake’s insulting (to Ukrainians) document null and void and resume military aid to Ukraine with renewed vigour. If he wants to reframe it as a loan, so be it.

Flashback: In WW2, FDR gave the equivalent in today’s money of $200 billion to the UK. Every penny was repaid. Final payment for the “Anglo-American Loan”, as it was called, was only completed as recently as 2006.

In contrast, FDR gave Stalin  $200 billion and not one penny was ever repaid.

Ukraine has $trillions worth of natural resources, so can afford to repay any loan with interest.

Best to keep those valuable resources in Ukrainian hands, rather than gift them to genocidal imperialists, eh Donald?

Speaking of imperialists, Greenland has resources valued in the hundreds of $billions; small beer compared to Ukraine.

Politico : “France has discussed with Denmark sending troops to Greenland in response to United States President Donald Trump’s repeated threats to annex the Danish territory, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said.”

Another news item seemingly fabricated by a doped-up scriptwriter. But alas it’s true, as is the “hilarious” Trump Tweet referring to “Governor Trudeau of the great state of Canada.”

Isn’t he a card! (Words usually deployed by nurses in a care home to describe particularly obstreperous patients).
