The last recorded activity from Lyudmila Yanukovych’s mobile phone number was on June 19.

The ex-wife of fugitive former President Viktor Yanukovych , 76-year-old Lyudmila Yanukovych, likely died in June in Russia, Toronto Television reported.

Journalists conducted an investigation and discovered that Lyudmila Yanukovych’s number is listed in the Russian Gosuslugi registry, but has been out of service for some time. The last recorded subscriber activity was on June 19.

However, the death of Lyudmila Yanukovych has not been officially confirmed.

“We found a phone number used by Lyudmila Yanukovych on the Russian portal Gosuslugi. Since June 19, 2026, it has been listed in the registry as the number of a deceased person, so it’s possible that Lyudmila is no longer alive. However, we have not yet found any other confirmation of her death,” the journalists said.

It is noteworthy that in 2022, social media and media outlets already reported the death of Yanukovych’s ex-wife, but the fugitive ex-president’s press secretary denied this information.

“The information about Lyudmila Yanukovych’s death is a lie. The information about Lyudmila Oleksandrivna Yanukovych’s death, spread by certain irresponsible individuals, is nothing more than black PR… This kind of thing crosses all human boundaries,” the statement read.
