The beginning of the new year – the war is in full swing, nothing hints at the beginning of the negotiation process, only isolated attempts by Donald Trump to promise an end to the war in 24 hours and to meet with President Putin. Will the war end in 2025 and will Ukraine win? We will figure it out on Channel 24 together with presenter Daniel Tkiie and Hamish de Bretton-Gordon (Retired British Army Colonel).

  1. I am a fan of Hamish. He had a distinguished military career and was highly respected by the ranks.
However, I see no grounds for the optimism that he is displaying. Does he perhaps know something that we don’t?
How can a deal possibly be stitched up that favours Ukraine?
Trump has shown a lot of his cards; thus breaking all the rules of negotiation. He ruled out long range fires, has ruled out Nato membership and his asshole son gloats about Zel “losing his allowance.” His chosen envoy; Captain Cornflake, has already published a crippling abomination of a “peace plan” that freezes the current lines and gives Ukraine nothing. Mike Walz yesterday ruled out Ukraine getting Crimea back. Fucking prick!
I sincerely hope that Colonel de Bretton-Gordon is right and Sir William Browder is wrong.
War & Politics 24 is a Ukrainian site btw.

  2. Donald seems to forget that i was the first to predict and publish his victory in 2016 on my Disqus site. A guy from Colorado may remember this. 😂

Anyway, Donny should support Ukraine’s survival. It’s far more important than oil and gas, although i’m expecting prices to plunge dramatically soon.

  3. The war will end this year and I will be flying to Ukraine again, instead of going by bus or train.

    • Hopefully so! I’m still planning on flying to Bucharest and then bussing my way up. At least until Poland can solve their border delays, that’s just ridiculous there.

      • You said it, bro. On average, you wait around four hours. But, I’ll never forget the horror of waiting fourteen hours once!!! But, the border guards were on strike back then.

    • The innovative Ukrainian airline SkyUp, turned itself into a freight carrier since 2022. Now it is resuming passenger flights in May; using Chișinău as its hub.
Its staff and fleet will be ready on very short notice to carry on where they left off in Ukraine asap. I used them several times and they were excellent.
Before 2022, they were contemplating getting a license for intercontinental flights.

        • You may be able to avail yourself of their services in the future, but I thought you’d just be interested to hear about the indefatigability of Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
