Explosions were heard in Ryazan, Russia, on the morning of July 29. Smoke can be seen in the sky above the city after the explosions.
The Russians complained about the attacks on the Wildberries warehouse, and a local refinery was also attacked. Details were reported by Exilenova+.
What is known about the attack on Ryazan?
The first report of the attack on Ryazan appeared on Exilenova+ at 05:20 in the morning.
“Ryazan. Locals report attack and explosions,” it said.
The channel’s authors published a selection of footage filmed by the Russians showing the operation of Russian air defense, explosions, and the sounds of drone engines.
Soon, the first details emerged: the author of one of the videos stated that, in particular, the warehouse of the Russian marketplace Wildberries in the village of Rybnoye near Ryazan was attacked. A fire broke out there.

It also happened to the local oil refinery: a fire broke out there.
Ryazan Oil Refinery ( RNPZ ) is a Russian oil refining enterprise located in the Southern Industrial Complex in Ryazan. It belongs to Ryazan Oil Refining Company, which is part of the state corporation Rosneft.
The declared maximum possible volume of oil refining is 17–18 million tons per year.
Russian reaction
Local authorities confirmed the attack.
The Governor of the Ryazan Region, Pavel Malkov, announced at 05:30 about a ” fire at one of the enterprises”, and less than an hour later stated that the fire was “in industrial areas” and reported six victims.
Meanwhile, ordinary Russians are commenting on local chat rooms complaining about strange alarm notifications, as well as how scared they were during the attack.
Someone is sad that they apparently lost their order on Wildberries, while someone is happy that they refrained from shopping or ordered through another marketplace – Ozon.
They confirm both the arrival of the Wildberries and the strike on the refinery. Interestingly, the Ryazan residents did not write curses against Ukraine, as is usually the case in Russian chat rooms after attacks. Instead, some contributors had “treasonous” thoughts that they had Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to “thank” for the night strikes.
Some of the video’s authors also had the right thoughts. One of them stated that Russia had “played up” – and at the same time demonstrated that he had already started learning the Ukrainian language.
As OBOZ.UA reported, drones attacked the Moscow region the day before.
The attack caused a fire at a strategic factory and warehouses of a logistics company.
