Why Is Trump Doing Everything He Can to Save Russia?

It is shocking that America’s democratic allies have to come to the White House to remind the president of the United States that he cannot align himself with a genocidal dictator soaked in blood. Friday, in Alaska, Donald Trump rolled out a red carpet for Vladimir Putin, an indicted war criminal. He basked in Putin’s flattery and humiliated the United States on the world stage. He applauded the murdering tyrant and elevated the Russian terrorist state. What Putin could not win on the battlefield, Trump handed him: legitimacy, time, and relief from pressure.

By all objective accounts, Russia has failed militarily. Kyiv stands. Ukraine’s army continues not only to fight but to innovate and inspire the world. Russian losses are catastrophic, three times higher than Ukraine’s. Its economy is cracking under sanctions, corruption, and the crushing weight of war. Thus, Putin needs a breather and a way to lock in stolen territory before his system gives way. And Trump seems committed to handing precisely that to Putin.

Russia is the existential enemy of democracy, of the United States, and of our allies. There is only one logical way to deal with it, and that is Ukraine’s way, not kowtowing to Russia. And in this, Ukraine is not standing alone. Its democratic allies, the same allies that have historically stood with America, are shoulder to shoulder with Kyiv in demanding what is both logical and necessary: provide security guarantees, arm Ukraine with the weapons to win, isolate Moscow diplomatically, and tighten sanctions while transferring frozen Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine. Anything less is appeasement that guarantees more aggression.

According to The Guardian, Trump backs Russia’s most outrageous demands: forcing Ukraine to surrender Donetsk and Luhansk while freezing Kherson and Zaporizhzhia under Russian control.. No Ukrainian government can accept Moscow’s blueprint for dismantling Ukraine. No democratic ally can accept the recognition of borders changed by force. What Trump is reported to be demanding is capitulation dressed up as compromise, with Ukraine then blamed for refusing to die quietly.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has tried to justify this surrender by telling Martha Raddatz on This Week that sanctions would “stop the talking.” Sanctions do not silence diplomacy. They make it real. Russia has never changed course when spared pressure. Every pause, every loophole, every delay has been used to regroup and kill again. The only language Moscow understands is strength.

If the goal is peace rooted in security, the answer is not Trump’s concessions but specific support for Ukraine:
Weapons — long-range missiles, air defenses, modern fighter aircraft, and armored vehicles.

•Sanctions — stronger measures on energy, finance, and technology, with airtight enforcement and no carve-outs.

•Frozen assets — immediate transfer of Russia’s sovereign reserves to Ukraine for reconstruction and war costs.

•Security guarantees — binding commitments from allies, with NATO and European forces in training and deterrent roles.

•Diplomatic isolation — exclusion of Russia from forums where it poses as a normal state, until the war ends and accountability is delivered.

This is the framework for real peace. Not the surrender Trump is advancing for Putin, but Ukraine’s way which is the only path that protects Europe and secures the democratic order.

It is humiliating for the United States that our democratic allies are forced to confront the toddler in the White House who, tragically for the world, controls America’s military might and represents American authority. The American people must also face this truth. While this president has aligned himself with a genocidal dictator against America’s allies and against democracy itself, Ukraine continues not only to fight but to innovate and inspire the world. That is the path of real leadership. The question is not whether Trump is helping Moscow. He is. The question is why he is doing everything Russia wants, and whether Americans and their allies will stop him before it is too late.

    It’s Time

It’s quite clear why. Has been for a long time. Everything he has done which includes accusing Zelinskyy as starting the war, voting against the free world in the UN. All of the delay tactics for providing arms and actually the lowest issue of delaying the little bit of sanctions (but would help to hurry the already close to collapse of the russian economy), Not enforcing the sanctions already in place (us that is) Providing unregulated crypto access for russia….

Everything that shit smear is doing is straight out of the russian playbook.

He’s a treasonous operative right in your face out in the open. All I want to know is how much money is funneled to him using crypto.

    • Absolutely agree with treasonous but I don’t think he’s getting money, he wants Trump Towers in Kremlin Square IMO.

  2. Why does he support the war criminal? Because DJT is also a criminal. He is a convicted felon, a traitor, a draft dodger, an adulterer, a pathological liar, and the worst, a rapist of children. Trump has no positive aspects to his persona.

    • Some anecdotal data, seems the US citizens are turning against him, at least with the recent polls. I think he’s worried about several republican senators and congressmen and woman that are publicly telling the world he’s a nut job.

      • Yes, and the Epstein files have done a lot to erode his popularity among the maga occult.
