Why does Putin need external “reformatting” of Ukraine

Russia is trying to change and reformat the structure of Ukraine and its Constitution simply by the right of force. Yes, like in the jungle

Perhaps you are tired of talking about the Minsk agreements. I do not rule out that you may think: let’s already do what Moscow demands of us in order to stop this horror in which the country has been living for the past eight years. And all this nightmare that Putin collects at our border. I will try to explain very simply what awaits us in this case.

Let’s start with the fact that Putin is trying to reformat Ukraine, change its structure and Constitution.

External reformat

It is used in cases of defeat of the country in the war. For example, Germany received a new constitution after World War II. Japan also. However, Ukraine did not annex the Sudetenland, invade Poland, invade France, bomb London, or lose the war to the Coalition countries. Ukraine also did not attack Pearl Harbor, and did not fight in Manchuria. Feel the difference? Ukraine has not done anything that could lead to its forceful transformation from the outside. She did not wage aggressive wars against other countries and peoples. Moreover, she herself received a blow in the back from a neighbor. Yes, I’m talking about the occupation of Crimea and the war in eastern Ukraine, if anyone has forgotten.

Thus, the external reformatting of Ukraine, changing its structure and Constitution, which Russia is pushing with all its might, is being applied not to the aggressor country that lost the war, but to the victim of this very aggression. By what right, you ask, is this even possible? But that’s the problem, that we are not talking about any right here. Russia is trying to change and reformat the device of Ukraine and its Constitution simply by the right of force. Yes, like in the jungle. Otherwise, we are being painted images of rocket attacks from the outside — this message is being promoted by OPFJ MP Oleg Voloshin, and his colleague Natalya Korolevskaya says that there may come a time when the Minsk agreements may seem like the best option possible. For those who read between the lines, there is a hidden threat in such a formula. Agree to it, otherwise it will be worse.

Of course, all this puts pressure on the nerves. And not unreasonably. Can anyone guarantee that Putin will not organize a large-scale invasion to the accompaniment of his media Quakers : all those Solovyovs and Kiselyevs who have been composing odes about the “Kiev junta” and “Nazis” for the eighth year now? Of course not.

The problem with the Minsk agreements is that they do not solve the problem. Putin is creating an ideal system of external control, in which Kiev will not be able to appoint even the head of the district ” people’s militia” somewhere in Gorlovka. In fact, the inhabitants of the occupied territories, who were also made citizens of Russia by mass passportization ( which in itself, I think, speaks of the failure of the Minsk agreements by Russia), will choose the local authorities. Then they delegate representatives to us in the legislature. And all would be fine, this minority in itself is not a serious threat to Ukraine. But, as a result of amendments to the Constitution, it ( a minority, often quite aggressive), will govern the development strategy of the state. In essence, to indicate where to join and where not to join Ukraine, and how to conduct its foreign policy. Of course, no talk about NATO and the EU is expected as a result of such a reformatting of the country. Indeed, to be honest, the remote control of the process will be in the hands of Vladimir Putin.

And the whole process is under the supervision of a contingent of Russian troops on our border, which Putin has stationed there, most likely forever . To have this argument and instrument of influence in constant readiness.

In such a situation, we will be ” allowed” to think only about integration into Putin’s EurAsEC and the CSTO. Yes, there – to the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan with Tajikistan. But the majority of citizens of Ukraine will not agree with this ( read and see the relevant sociology). And this means that the Minsk agreements are laying a time bomb, which will explode over time. And it crashes hard.

For it is no longer possible to switch millions of Ukrainians who have received freedom and, in fact, have already become citizens of Europe, freely moving with their beautiful passports in different directions – from Warsaw to Lisbon – to the conditionally ” Rostov” direction. A trip to Paris, Milan, Vienna or Stockholm as a weekend tour ( which has become a reality even for Ukrainian students who optimize such trips by planning them in advance and buying cheap air tickets) cannot be replaced by a tour to Syktyvkar, Bishkek or Karaganda. With all due respect, as they say. Putin is late. Of course, he is still trying to scare with Iskanders and shut off the gas, but these desperate movements will not keep Ukraine within the perimeter of his empire.

And here you, of course, remind that Ukraine itself agreed with this external reformatting by signing the protocols of the so-called Minsk-2. Yes, and it’s true. This happens not only to people who sign at gunpoint. But also with entire countries and presidents. When they exchange one huge risk of destroying the country for another risk stretched out in time.

What to do?

To begin with, it is necessary to explain to the whole world that Russia, in fact, has already denounced the Minsk agreements. Need proof? Read the first paragraph of the Minsk agreements on an “immediate ceasefire” in ORDLO. The same “passportization” of the population of the occupied territories, where life without a Russian passport becomes much more difficult, is also not spelled out in the Minsk protocols.

It is necessary to study experience. Including those countries that participate in the Normandy format. For example, the process of the post-war unification of Germany and the adaptation of the eastern territories. A complete analogy is, of course, impossible here. If only because Ukraine did not unleash a world war in Europe and cannot be punished by ” reformatting” and occupation of territories. We have already talked about this. But, since the issue is not in the legal field, but in the zone of action of the ” right of force”, this should be recognized. And declare the occupied territories occupied.

Of course, temporarily occupied. With all the ensuing consequences. And to build an efficient state with functioning life support systems, a fair legal system, efficient gas production, which will be enough for the economy and the population, a stimulating tax system, et setera. And, believe me, in such a situation, the position of Ukraine in matters of attempts to reformat it to the standards and needs of the Russian Federation will be much stronger.

  1. The little mafia rat cannot get his way. Once he’s got it, he’ll grab for more. He’ll never be sated. More is what he’ll want, and nothing less. That’s in the nature of the beast … the beast of a criminal dick-tator.
