During the meeting with President Zelenskyy, Trump stated that he supports a “fair” peace for Ukraine. Of course, he didn’t say what “fair” means.
The only “fair” peace is for (1) russia to get out of Ukriane and (2) russia to pay for all the damage done to Ukriane and Ukrianian people. This is how the justice system treats criminals, and russia is a terrorist state.

I used to not care about professional and social media networks. I just did the work that I love and I was good at it. I was listed as a Top Economic Thinker of Ukrainian descent by Forbes in 2015, a top-rated young economist in the world by IDEAS in 2018, and the Best 40 Under 40 Professors by Poets and Quants in 2019.
But since the russian full scale invasion of Ukraine, I understood that I need a voice. So, I started to actively share and engage on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook).
I try to tell people about the atrocities russia is committing in Ukriane, about Ukrainian resilience, its history, economy, and about brave Ukrainian heroes.
Please, help me to amplify my voice by engaging and sharing my content.

Speaker of the US Congress, Mike Johnson, has called on President Zelensky to fire Ukraine’s ambassador to the US, Oksana Markarova. Johnson accused her of being unreliable and ineffective as a diplomat.
He claimed that Zelensky’s visit to a weapons factory in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania was politically motivated and aimed at helping Democrats in the upcoming elections.
Furthermore, he argued that Republicans were not invited to the event on purpose. Johnson believes that after Markarova organized this event, she lost the trust of Republicans.

Mike Johnson and other Republican Party leaders continue to embarrass themselves and the American people. Yesterday, another embarrassment by Speaker Mike Johnson making a fuss with the Ukrainian delegation about Ambassador Markarova.
Headed by Trump, the Republican Party is working hard to push the “conservative” agenda. Yet, they will likely achieve the very opposite at the ballot box. The Republicans are likely to lose the Senate, the House and the White House. In some way, it’s like president Putin and his clique, working hard and in effect achieving the very opposite, destroying Russia.
As a lifetime Republican I feel enormously frustrated and enraged by the Republican Party leaders. For the first time I will be voting for Democratic Party candidates this November. There are many of us who will do the same. I expect a landslide victory for VP Harris, receiving about 65% of the popular vote. Hope, this will be the badly needed shock therapy starting the process of reconstituting the Republican Party from the bottom up. 🙂

Johnson lacks awareness, and is highly reactive.
Whatever your political leanings, elect more aware, more competent representatives. Johnson, Trump, and Vance are an embarrassment to the term “leader.”

Freedom is not free!
In 1991, I was just a 9-years old kid when Ukraine finally received its independence from the USSR (aka russia). I remember it was a day of celebration and joy! Ukrainians finally were free from decades of russian oppression.
I remember my grandpa telling me that this freedom came at a huge price of many Ukrainian lives. Yet, as a child, I could not fully understand what my grandpa was saying then. Today, I do. I understand that freedom is not free!
The cost Ukrainians are paying is very high. I already lost three friends, two of my second cousins are on the battlefield right now and many friends are risking their lives daily for freedom.
Freedom is not free. The best sons and daughters of Ukraine are paying the price. Please, keep them in your prayers. Support them. Stand with them. Stand with Ukraine in this very costly fight for freedom!

I post on LinkedIn under my own name. I would not do that here. On LinkedIn I am liked by my fellow professionals. No haters, no abusers and no liars. Some of the members are known to me personally.
But it’s not 100% safe. Kremtroll accounts and conspiracy theorist lunatics are still there. The owners have been very weak in terms of letting their algorithms allow Ukrainian posters to get banned by bogus complaints from vermin who know how to work the system.
Anyway, people like Roman, Yana Rudenko, Marijn Markus, Volodymyr Kukharenko, Robin Horsfall, Jonathan Fink etc are amongst the best of the best.

Alas, this is the same across the social media landscape and chat rooms. The West just recently woke up to the fact that mafia propaganda and subversion is a widespread phenomenon, but are acting in their usual slow and weak ways.

Ditto with me, unless something positive happens with the Trumpov stance on Ukraine and mafia land. But, I won’t be holding my breath for long. Come election day, it will be a day of reconning with this “Republican” party.
