The leader of the European Solidarity party, MP Petro Poroshenko called on Western allies to intensify diplomatic and military pressure on Russia in order to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire.
Speaking at a high-level conference on European and global security in Cambridge, Poroshenko stressed the critical need for immediate action by the international coalition, the politician said on his Facebook page on Saturday.
“Our call from Kyiv is as follows: we must stop losing Ukrainian people. We must stop losing Ukrainian territory. And we must stop losing time. We cannot wait any longer. An additional 50 days, an additional two weeks, an additional six months gives Putin the opportunity to kill Ukraine. This is our approach, and we expect the same approach from the coalition – “enough” means “enough.” You must give Putin the opportunity to conclude a comprehensive ceasefire, and if not – Plan B,” Poroshenko stressed.
According to him, if diplomatic efforts do not bring results, Ukraine expects its partners to implement Plan B, which involves expanding military assistance, including the supply of long-range weapons and investments in the defense industry.
“We will definitely not discuss the limitations of our Armed Forces, because this is the most effective and reliable source of security guarantees. Not only for Ukraine, but also for Europe, for the world,” Poroshenko said.
Separately, he appealed to Western leaders not to delay launching the ceasefire process, emphasizing that the window of opportunity in the context of Donald Trump’s presidency is limited, but real.
Poroshenko also confirmed the unchanging position of Ukraine on territorial integrity and the role of the Armed Forces as a key guarantor of security.
“We will never give up. No matter what. Not in 2014, not in 2015, not in 2022, and, of course, definitely not today. The exchange of territories is not even discussed,” he stressed.
Concluding his speech, Poroshenko outlined Ukraine’s vision of victory as the preservation of the nation, integration into the European Union and gaining membership in NATO.

Too right. Nobody has the right to trade off Ukrainian territory for Ukrainian territory. As for plan B, our allies are still discussing plan A. Don’t expect any stiffening of the spine anytime soon, especially from TACO.
From Poro’s FB page ;
“We pay a terrible price for the right to be free. But the Ukrainian fight is not only about Ukraine. The result of this war determines the future of Europe and the architecture of world security.
Spoke about this today at the conference on European and global security in Cambridge.
Great Britain knows all too well what it means to stand alone against the enemy. This is why we appreciate this support so much.
What does victory mean for Ukraine? This is preserving our nation, our independence, our movement towards the European Union and NATO membership. And that’s the only result we’ll accept.
Because Putin does not need Donetsk or Crimea. He needs all of Ukraine. His goal is to put a pro-Kremlin government here. We will not have this. We will never give up. Not in 2014, not in 2015, not in 2022 and definitely not now.
Swapping of territories is not even discussed. Nobody – neither Poroshenko, nor Zelensky, nor anyone else in Ukraine will sign it. And we will definitely not limit our own Armed Forces, because they are the guarantee of our safety and the security of Europe.
Today Ukraine has the best military on the continent, created from scratch in 2014. But this war doesn’t need only tanks. She needs modern technology, drones, robots, REB tools. We are ready to share experience and develop the defense industry with partners.
My advice to the allies: helping Ukraine cannot be considered charity. This is the most effective investment in your own security. Because if Putin does not stop in Ukraine – he will come to London, Brussels or Berlin.
Peace is possible. But you cannot trust Putin, you cannot be afraid of him, you cannot try to agree with him.
He only understands the language of power. And when we, united, begin to speak with him in that language, then there will be peace, then there will will be victory.
We must stop wasting people, territory and time. If there is no comprehensive ceasefire, there must be plan B: more guns, more support for the defense industry, more determination.
Unity is what gives us strength. And the unity in Europe we see today. Together we will overcome!”
……………….
As far as I am concerned, there is no plan A or plan B : only bullshit from Krasnov, lies and hate from putler and feeble posturing from the EU.
There can be only one plan :
Understand that the satanic, genocidal horde of liars, thieves, child murderers, child rapists, child kidnappers, child traffickers and torturers will not stop.
Once that simple fact is finally grasped, the allies need to then get it clearly into their heads that Ukraine is vastly outgunned, vastly outnumbered and cannot continue their heroic defence indefinitely without a 500% increase in assistance.
Send 10 divisions of combat troops.
I don’t care where they come from : mercs, contractors, whatever. But the allies need to get them and pay top dollar for the best fighters.
Many times I’ve said that there are 100,000 demobbed Peshmerga fighters. I’ll say it again.
I’d take the lot; their families too and give them permanent residency if they want it.
Then send 10 more divisions.
Send every long range fire variant; as many as possible and unrestricted.
Send more artillery pieces, more ammo, more armour, more F16’s or equivalent and more of whatever the commanders on the ground need. Especially cluster munitions.
The orcs would be gone before year’s end.
Very likely this will have to be done without the blessing of comrade Krasnov.
