Ticket sales started on September 5, trains will start running on September 12.

“Ukrzaliznytsia” (UZ) has opened ticket sales for trains from Uzhhorod to cities of the European Union using the new Euro-gauge. As reported by the UZ press service, direct passenger trains using the Euro-gauge will start running from the regional center of Transcarpathia to Bratislava, Vienna and Budapest starting September 12. Ticket sales started on September 5. Train schedule:
• No. 961/618 Uzhgorod – Bratislava. Departure from Uzhgorod – at 8:09, arrival in Bratislava – at 18:33. Train No. 617/964 Bratislava – Uzhgorod will depart from Bratislava at 11:27, arrival in Uzhgorod – 22:35.
• No. 146 Uzhgorod – Budapest – Vienna. Departure from Uzhgorod at 8:09, arrival in Budapest at 14:20, arrival in Vienna at 17:20. The return flight of train No. 143 Vienna – Budapest – Uzhgorod will depart from Vienna at 10:42, arrive in Budapest at 13:19 and in Uzhgorod at 22:35.

It is also noted that with the introduction of the new schedule in December, convenient connections with domestic trains, including night trains, are provided.
“This will allow, for example, to leave Kyiv in the evening, arrive in Uzhhorod in the morning, and continue the journey by European train without transfers,” UZ emphasized.
According to the UZ website, the cost of tickets from Uzhhorod to Vienna is 3,500 hryvnias (1st class) and 2,200 hryvnias (2nd class). A 2nd class ticket to Bratislava costs 2,200 hryvnias. You can get to Budapest for 1,800 hryvnias (1st class) or 1,200 hryvnias (2nd class).
