In his opinion, the United States is capable of making Russia’s intention to end the war finally become serious.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on the US peace plan for Ukraine , stated that the Ukrainian government will not make any harsh statements and is committed to clear, honest work.

“Today I met with representatives of the United States. A significant delegation and a very serious discussion. The American side presented their proposals – points for a plan to end the war – their vision. From the very first days of the war, we have held one, extremely simple position: Ukraine needs peace. And a real peace – one that won’t be destroyed by a third invasion. A dignified peace – one that respects our independence, our sovereignty, and the dignity of the Ukrainian people,” he wrote .

According to him, these are precisely the conditions that must be ensured.

“I outlined what is fundamental to us. And we agreed that the teams will work on these proposals—to make it genuine. We will not make sweeping statements and are committed to clear, honest work—Ukraine, the United States, and our friends and partners in Europe and around the world,” Zelenskyy added.

He recalled that there had been many conversations with European leaders recently.

“I expect to speak with President Trump in the coming days. We understand that American strength and American support can truly bring peace closer, and we don’t want to lose that. We also understand that Russia has no real desire for peace; otherwise, they wouldn’t have started this war. There are many assessments—quite fair ones—that Russia has been trying to do only one thing this whole year: postpone sanctions and buy more time for war,” the president explained.

In his opinion, America is capable of making sure that Russia’s commitment to ending the war finally becomes serious:

“I will continue to work 100% for this—all my time is devoted to this right now. Ukraine needs peace, and Ukraine will do everything in its power to ensure that no one in the world says we are the ones sabotaging diplomacy. This is important.”

Earlier, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas stated that the European Union expresses clear support for Ukraine amid reports that the United States and Russia are preparing a plan to end the war without the participation of Ukraine and Europe.

The White House assured that the war in Ukraine would be resolved. They emphasized that interpreting the Ukrainian settlement agreements as unilateral territorial concessions at the request of the Russian side is incorrect .
