War in Ukraine: Important News
Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin that the occupiers had allegedly captured Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denies these claims.
They say counter-sabotage operations and special search-and-destroy missions against enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups are continuing in the city and its environs. The situation in Yampol, Donetsk Oblast, is similar—the enemy has not occupied the city, the General Staff stated.
“The statement about the alleged seizure of 80% of the city of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region and 70% of the city of Pokrovsk is also untrue,” the statement said.
