“We have a catastrophe”: MP spoke about “hundreds of thousands of applications to renounce Ukrainian citizenship”

The MP stated that in Ukraine “we have a real demographic catastrophe.”

MP Mykola Knyazhytsky stated that currently “there are hundreds of thousands of applications for renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship “.

“We have a catastrophe, because at first we made a lot of mistakes when these people were not provided with consular services, now, on the contrary, we are supposedly trying to provide them and there is a reason for this,” he said on the air of the program “Bolshoy Lvov Speaks.”

According to him, there are currently “hundreds of thousands of applications for renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship.”

“In Germany, you get a grey passport. There are people who have been outside Ukraine for a long time and had two passports. They simply give up their Ukrainian ones. We have a real demographic catastrophe,” he added.
