Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk , in Lviv, which he visited on December 17, stated that his state cannot give Ukraine “everything.” Because Poland, in his opinion, is “in some sense also a frontline” country.
He stated this at a press conference after talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky. ” We are not able to give everything. In a sense, we are also a frontline state . Poland is increasingly becoming the object of sabotage and hybrid actions directed directly against our citizens, our state,” Tusk was quoted as saying by the Polska Agencja Prasowa .

The Polish Prime Minister acknowledged that “more and more people in the world understand that the mission of every civilized nation is to support Ukraine today in this heroic struggle.” He thanked Ukrainians for their willingness to defend not only their country, but also Poland and all of Europe.
Ukraine, according to Tusk, will always be able to count on Poland.
“A great game awaits us for the future of Ukraine, Poland and Europe…”, he said, adding that our countries share common geopolitical interests and a “deep sense of justice.”
The Polish government is working on the next aid package, which will be ready in January 2025 .
“We will support Ukraine to the best of our ability, but as Prime Minister of Poland, I will not hide that the highest priority for me remains the security of Poland, the Polish border,” Tusk said.
He reminded that when it comes to the next aid packages, his country’s government must remember its own large stretch of border with Belarus and Russia.
“We constantly have incidents on the border with Belarus. On the Polish-Belarusian border, we hear shooting almost every day,” Tusk noted.
The Prime Minister mentioned Warsaw’s presidency of the European Union, which will begin in January 2025. In this context, he supported Kyiv’s desire to receive an invitation and join NATO .
” If it were up to Poland, it wouldn’t last longer than one day. But here you can count on our diplomacy and our actions,” Tusk assured.
Warsaw will do “everything in our power” to make the prospect of Ukraine’s membership in the Alliance increasingly realistic, although “we understand that this is not an easy path.” Tusk believes that the Polish presidency will accelerate and make accession negotiations more realistic.
” We are your friends. I have been promoting Ukraine’s European path for many years. So you can be sure that with all professionalism, determination, and also with the support of other countries – because I constantly communicate with the leaders of other countries – we will work to make this process a reality and accelerate it,” he said.
According to the Polish Prime Minister, during this journey “there will be conflicts of interest and sometimes difficult standards, but we are here to help and make this process as quick and simple as possible.”

As OBOZ.UA reported:
– In Lviv, on December 17, Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with Donald Tusk. The topics discussed were the situation on the battlefield and in diplomacy, coordination of work with partners, cooperation in supplying the Defense Forces with weapons, “joint achievements and understanding.”
– At a joint press conference with Tusk, Zelenskyy emphasized that all of Europe “needs not just a pause in hostilities, something temporary or uncertain,” but a strong common position of all partners and real peace in Ukraine.

Quite clearly, Tusk is not the smartest. He still hasn’t seen the light. If Ukraine loses, Poland is also finished. His few ineffective troops won’t stop a combined Ukrainian-roach onslaught.
I can understand his worries, Poland have been a NATO member since 1999, but perhaps he worries that NATO being reactive would not be there in time to prevent disaster.
As we have all said though, a swift decisive defeat for moskovia in the first few weeks of war would have been much better.
The blame for the potential situation facing Europe lies completely with those who have been reticent for whatever reason to supply weaponry and support Ukraine.
I see your point, Mason, but let’s face it; once the cockroaches stand at Poland’s border, it’s game over for the country. Or, who should come to aid Poland? Germany? France? The US under Trump? It’s this scenario that should be prevented in the first place, and the only viable way to do that is to help Ukraine 100%. And 50% or whatever won’t cut it.
I have no time for the Poles. They watch as russian missiles destroy Ukrainian infrastructure, then launch a few token planes. They would get more respect if they started to take down these missiles. They don’t need NATO approval to defend their border.
They hide behind NATO’s skirt like little girls hiding behind mommy’s skirt.
Well unless something dramatic happens to boost the number of moskali cannon fodder, they appear to be fucked as a fighting force.
The World has moved on since 1939, when invasions were seemingly unopposed, then again in 194? when the red army ‘liberated’ Eastern Europe. The people won’t stand for it now or ever in the future.
Any occupation force would need to be far more than the population being occupied and the moskali don’t have that many left seemingly.
With that in mind, plus the fact that they can’t even conquer Ukraine, the moskali would have to ally with other shitholes to even get through Ukraine, let alone invade any other Countries.
The big question is, why is there so little help from Europe?
Is it because they are scared the moskali will suddenly produce more cannon fodder?
I suspect they have their eyes on all that cheap Gas and don’t want to upset the moskali regime too much.
That is a very short sighted view, as were moskovia made to collapse, Europe could dictate the Gas price.
Although I’ve been racking my brain over Europe’s cowardice, lethargy, inefficiency, and downright stupidity, I don’t know the answer to why they are the way they are. Surely, they can’t be so dumb not to know the dire consequences for the continent if Ukraine should lose, or?
Don’t forget most of the Euro countries surrendered after 5 minutes in WW2. They have never had a spine to speak of.
That’s a good point. And they’ve never learned from their past mistakes.
I’m not impressed with Tusk’s drivel. Ukraine is a friend in need and as a neighbour they should be pulling out all the stops.
In 1939, Poland was invaded jointly by ruZZia and Germany. The UK went to war because of it. In 1945, the occupier Stalin informed FDR and Churchill that free and fair elections would take place. FDR bought this crap. Churchill didn’t, but FDR had all the power and Poland was condemned to 45 years of ruZZian occupation horror.
This is what is at stake now. The rat fuhrer thinks he’s on the brink of another Yalta with Trump playing the FDR useful idiot role.
You just can’t make all of this shit up…
