A 70-year-old man walked several tens of kilometers from Donbass to the Kharkov region to escape the “ Russian world ” approaching his native village. He also decided to save his livestock from the “asvabadites,” which had to overcome the difficult journey together with the owner.

This incredible story was told by activists of the animal protection project UAnimals , who help Ukrainians evacuate animals from the combat zone.

“This is probably the first time we have had such an evacuation story. Right now we are evacuating a grandfather with three cows and dogs,” animal rights activists report on their social networks.

It is noted that a man named Vladimir lived in the village of Torskoye, Donetsk region. There are two villages with this name in Donbass, but judging by the context, we are talking about Torskoye near the city of Liman. There, the Russians were already very close to the village.

Escaping from there, the man decided to head all the way to the Poltava region and, together with the animals, was able to reach the outskirts of Izyum in the Kharkov region. Already there they noticed him.

The UAnimals team took upon itself the further evacuation of the animals along with the owner to the desired Poltava region.

In another post, animal rights activists provided more details. According to Vladimir, he once had relatives in the Poltava region. That’s why he went there. The man only had a small bag with him. The rest had to be thrown away because the cart broke.

The “Countrywomen” charitable foundation, with the support of Ekaterina Yamshchikova (acting as the mayor of Poltava), found a home for the man and his animals in the Poltava region. It was there that he now settled with cows and a dog. It is not reported whether Vladimir’s relatives were found.
