Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed to block Moskovsky Komsomolets and Vedomosti in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree imposing sanctions against 12 Russian companies. The document was published on the official website of the Ukrainian leader.

Among the companies included in the sanctions list are the provider Rostelecom, the publishers of the newspapers Vedomosti, Moskovsky Komsomolets and Zavtra, as well as the founders of the information sites Anna-News, PolitExpert and Narodnye Novosti (part of the media group businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin).

Only website blocking was introduced against Rostelecom, the founders of Moskovsky Komsomolets and PolitExpert. Other companies are subject to other sanctions, including blocking of assets, restrictions on the provision of telecommunications services.

In recent months, Vladimir Zelensky has imposed sanctions on a number of Russian media outlets (including Russia 24 and NTV), as well as Russian private and state-owned companies (including Sberbank, Aeroflot and the online retailer Wildberries).

  1. Sberbank? Does that mean at last its retail branches will be shut down? It is an evil putlerite criminal organisation masquerading as a bank.
It is the same as if we had allowed Reichsbank to trade in Britain throughput the dark days of WW2.
