Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu hinted at such a possibility.

Top Iranian officials are individually negotiating with Moscow regarding a possible escape to Russia in the event of further deterioration of the situation in the country amid the war with Israel, Iran International reports , citing informed sources.

In particular, the publication has received information that Ali Asghar Hijazi, deputy chief of staff to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, is negotiating with Russian officials regarding a possible departure from Iran for himself and his family. According to the source, a senior Russian official assured Hijazi that in such a case, Moscow would “facilitate his evacuation through a safe corridor.”

It is claimed that other Iranian officials have received similar assurances, and some of them have already prepared specific escape routes.

The day before, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also hinted at something similar in a video address, saying that Iranian senior officials were already “packing their bags.”
