On Sunday, June 15, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed an attack on the city of Yelabuga (Republic of Tatarstan, Russia). As a result of the successful operation, one of the production sites for attack UAVs was hit.

It is noted that this military-industrial complex facility of the Russian occupiers is used for the manufacture, testing and launch of strike drones across the territory of Ukraine, in particular against energy and civil infrastructure.

One of the Russian strike drone production sites hit: General Staff confirms strike on city in Tatarstan

“As part of reducing the enemy’s capabilities to produce strike unmanned aerial vehicles, on June 15, units of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck an important facility of the Russian aggressor’s military-industrial complex,” the report says.

It is noted that the target was a UAV production facility in Yelabuga (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation). It is also confirmed that the weapons reached the target area. The final results are being clarified.

“The defense forces continue to take all measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers and force the Russian Federation to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine. More to come! Glory to Ukraine!” – the General Staff summed up the successful operation.

It is worth noting that the factory in Yelabuz, where the occupiers assemble the “Shakheds”, which they label as “Geran-2”, has been attacked by the Ukrainian Defense Forces with drones several times. The enemy enterprise is located 1,200 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

Earlier, the Russian Federation reported that the city of Yelabuga in the Republic of Tatarstan was allegedly attacked by drones on the afternoon of Sunday, June 15. Local residents heard explosions, after which smoke was visible at the site of the alleged landings. Authorities said that one person was killed and 13 were injured (9 of them hospitalized).

As OBOZ.UA reported, on June 14, agents of the Ministry of Defense’s GUR knocked out power to facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex and the Russian Armed Forces in Koenigsberg . The losses for Russia as a result of the sabotage amounted to almost 5 million US dollars.
