The most unexpected thing is happening on the front – in Donbass, where until recently Russia had a full advantage, everything has changed. An artillery parity was formed and in recent days Ukrainians began to intensive destruction of weapon warehouses. Shoigu admitted, that Russian army can no longer advance. Referendum plans were also canceled because the plan to control the territory failed.
Practically, we are talking about Donetsk districts, which are not accepted by Russians. Not to mention the other parts of Donbass, the talk of Donbass taking over the Ukrainian-controlled cities of Slaviansk and Kramatorsk is unnecessary.
Now everyone is waiting for counterfeit testimony. Germany has finally stepped forward to providing heavy weapons and German artillery is playing a crucial role in making breakthroughs.
In the coming weeks and months American and German air defense systems will be put into action, which will almost completely block the whole sky of Ukraine, replacing Russia’s latest tool.
That’s why Zelensky is more confident than ever. This belief of victory is based on the dedication and professionalism of a million Ukrainian soldiers.
The Pentagon rated the effectiveness of the Ukrainian army as “12 points on a 10-point scale”. According to Washington, Ukrainians use Western weapons more effectively than anyone could imagine.
Well, things are going better than most thought. Victory is just around the corner.

I do think he is overly optimistic.
There will be like 4-6 medium range air defense systems. Yes, they are probably good, but Ukraine probably has around a 100 long-range systems in service.
I doubt that they are going to make a great difference, as they can only cover a very small territory.
It can be helpful to protect some strategic objects and if they are mobile enough to help support an offensive, but I don’t believe it will be a major game changer.
We should be happy that Ukraine is so well equipped with Soviet era weapons: I think no country in Europe has such a dense air defence system as Ukraine has.
Ukraine having been a part of the Soviet Union is both a tragedy as well as a blessing, as no other European was so well equipped as the Ukrainian SSR was.
My personal opinion is that the Russian military is close to collapse. How long to ultimate collapse is the question, but there isn’t much ruin left in their military.
Oh yeah, I agree, but not necessarily for the reasons Saakashvili gave. The anti air systems are mostly a drop in the ocean
