Ukraine must give up its territories to end the war with Russia, said Donald Trump’s Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance on the News Nation TV channel.

“The Ukrainians are going to have to make this decision… They are already too exhausted,” Vance said.

He said such statements slip out in conversations with Ukrainian officials, especially in private.

“They’re starting to talk about it now. They’re saying this can’t go on forever. They don’t have the people, they don’t have the guns, they don’t have the money,” Vance said.

He said Russia should not have attacked Ukraine, but both sides want to end the war. And the role of the United States, he said, is to ask Russia and Ukraine what they want and then “impose real diplomacy.”

Ukraine is being pressured to give up territories

On September 12, Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance presented Trump’s plan to end the war in Ukraine. According to him, the demarcation line should run along the current front line , and the occupied Ukrainian territories will become a demilitarized zone.

People’s Deputy Yegor Chernev noted that Western media outlets have begun to make statements about Ukraine’s readiness  to give up part of its territories  instead of NATO membership, but this is not true. According to him, this is how they may try to “push Kiev into negotiations.”
