The Pentagon is focused on the next five years after the end of the war in Ukraine.

The United States is developing a plan to support the Ukrainian army in the medium and long term. It is also about support after the victory over the Russian army.
It is reported by CNN .
According to the publication, this mission is headed by the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley. For now, the Pentagon is focused on the next five years after the end of the war in Ukraine.
An analysis is currently underway that will form the basis for planning for future arms transfers and the creation of a long-term US military training program. The analysis is expected to be ready within one or two months.
It is noted that in the end, this could extend assistance from the United States and allies to Ukraine for years to come through long-term multi-year arms contracts that could be completed even by the end of Biden’s first term.
As UNIAN previously reported, on August 23, information appeared in the Western media that the United States would announce a record $3 billion military aid package on Ukraine’s Independence Day, August 24.
According to the interlocutors, the funds will be used to finance contracts for the supply of drones, weapons and other equipment. However, it is not excluded that within a year they will not yet appear on the battlefield.
The money will also be used to train and equip the Ukrainian military to ensure their combat capability “for years to come.”

Of course that is more than welcome. Ukraine needs to know that the most powerful country in the world will help them in this way.
But the fact remains that the war has still got to be won. Clearly the defenders need ATACMS and many of them (or similar SSM’s, if there is such a thing).
No point in planning for the future if you are still dragging your feet about the present.
I don’t know how much the US spends on overseas aid, but it’s bound to be a pretty impressive amount.
Britain spends 0.7% of GDP on overseas aid; another staggering amount. Unfortunately much of it ends up with criminal regimes that hate us.
I think we should cancel that program and start making huge payments to Ukraine.
Especially as many of the current recipients of our largesse are friendly with the shitweasel fuhrer.
I think a larger effort should be made to sanction the little zit personally and begin researching his assets because its likely to take a long time and a lot of effort. Better to start now. We should also compile a list of Russian assets outside of Mordor and put them on the table too. Pull everything and put it on the auction block. There’s Putin’s fucking sovereignty answer.
