Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the United States’ decision to provide a new $400 million defense package during an evening address on Telegram .
“Another separate package is being prepared – funding for the production of Ukrainian drones, 800 million dollars. Ukraine is grateful for this support. We need Ukraine to be able to consistently defend its sovereignty, its independence, despite any political threats in the world. This will definitely happen. Each meeting with partners is a conversation, in particular, about the defense industry complex,” Zelensky said.
He also added that during a meeting with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, he discussed the implementation of the Ukrainian plan for victory.
“On specific steps that can implement the points of the Plan. We need the determination of our partners, especially against the backdrop of information about North Korea’s new role in supporting Russia. It is obvious that Putin is afraid of peace and that is why he is looking for ways to increase aggression and now involve North Korea in the front. This is an obvious signal to the entire world who only wants war,” Zelensky added.
