Rutte noted that active work is currently underway on security guarantees for Ukraine.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that Ukraine’s accession to the Alliance is currently not supported by the United States, Hungary, Slovakia, and probably several other countries. He made this statement during a joint press conference with Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosyniak-Kamysz.

“At the summit in Washington last year, the allies agreed on the irreversibility of Ukraine’s accession to NATO. However, there is also a practical aspect. It consists in the fact that several allies are directly declaring that they will not give their consent to Ukraine’s accession to NATO. These are countries such as Hungary, the USA and Slovakia, and possibly several other states,” Rutte said.
The NATO Secretary General noted that active work is currently underway on security guarantees for Ukraine. He emphasized that they should make it impossible for Russia to attack again.
“Currently, they (security guarantees – UNIAN) have three levels. The first is the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They will, of course, operate in the same way as in Poland and everywhere in NATO territory, and in this case – in the territory of Ukraine, which will become the first line of defense. The second line of defense will be what the “coalition of the willing” has been developing over the past few months,” Rutte added.
The NATO Secretary General shared that the United States will be the third element of this process. He recalled that in August, US President Donald Trump said that he wanted Washington to become part of the security guarantees for Ukraine.Read also:
“Discussions are currently ongoing about what this collective security guarantee package will look like,” Rutte said.

NATO is worthless. NATO is made up of mostly spineless cowards, and some are even pro-russian fascists. To hell with such a useless organization, one that is not even willing and capable of downing a few attack drones over its own skies.
