According to the deputy head of the State Security Service, Russia is losing its potential.
Moscow continues to claim that Ukraine has no chance of surviving a military confrontation with Russia, but in reality, things are different. During the latest Russian strikes, about 40% of cruise missiles launched by the enemy simply did not get off the planes. This was stated by Deputy Head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitsky in an interview with Ukrinform.

“We see Russia losing its potential, I mean scientific. Missiles stop flying, accuracy disappears. The fact that they are trying to bypass or replace foreign components with import substitution leads to completely different results. For example, during the last strikes, approximately 40% of the cruise missiles launched by the Russian Federation simply did not get off the planes,” he said.
Skibitsky noted that Russia is losing its potential. He emphasized that Ukraine is ready to share experience and knowledge with partners in order to continue to counter the Russian Federation.
The Deputy Head of the GUR also spoke about how convincingly Ukraine provides information to its partners that Russia is bluffing, declaring its “successes” in the war.Read also:
“It depends on how we present information. We really do. For example, the Main Intelligence Directorate constantly publishes the results of our work in order to show that not only Russia strikes us, but we can also strike, which significantly affect the very defense-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, those enterprises that ensure the conduct of war. As for how effective it is today, much depends on development, on the means that we already use,” Skibitsky explained.
Is Russia capable of accelerating its offensive in Ukraine?
Earlier, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War commented on the statement of Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin that Russian troops could allegedly accelerate the pace of the offensive on the front in Ukraine. According to them, the realities on the battlefield indicate the opposite.
ISW emphasized that Russian troops often spent months trying to capture small and medium-sized settlements. Analysts are confident that the Russian Defense Ministry does not expect a rapid change in the nature of the war, but rather is preparing for continued positional warfare and a slow, exhausting offensive.
