“I was a Reagan Republican my entire life. It was only after Trump’s behaviour causing us to wonder if America was still committed to Nato that I had to rethink. And then after January 6th, I finally broke with them.
So I want to be clear: I’m not some lifelong Democrat. This change was brought about by his behaviour.”
Followers of Trump were chanting “hang Mike Pence” on January 6th. You can’t reason with such people.
Unfortunately Trump will never again appoint a Ukraine supporter such as Pence or Bolton for his team. The transition team is already packed with aggressive Ukraine-haters, including the one that prof Tim Snyder regards as the most dangerous of them all : Comrade JD VanZkov.
Up to 40% of Trumpkov voters sincerely believe that Zel is a crook; a con-artist who purchased yachts with US aid money. Those same assholes believe that putler is a Christian who is protecting Christians in Ukraine.
