The Russians have published similar messages before. This is part of Putin’s disinformation campaign.
The White House says they have no confirmation of reports from Moscow that the Russian military destroyed the HIMARS system supplied by America in Ukraine. It is reported by The Hill .
The Russian Ministry of Defense on Tuesday, January 3, in its report stated that as a result of missile and air strikes in eastern Ukraine, “two launch ramps for American-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems” were destroyed.
US national security spokesman John Kirby told reporters Wednesday: “I have seen Russian claims that they hit the HIMARS system and we have no corroborating information in response to that.”
Kirby added that the Russians had released similar reports before, suggesting it was part of a disinformation campaign by Vladimir Putin that portrayed Russia’s more than 10-month-long assault on Ukraine as a “defensive military operation.”
“Let’s be absolutely frank. This is Russia’s war against Ukraine. And Putin can say as much as he likes that this is some kind of struggle against the West, this is existential for his security, this is the USA against Russia, this is NATO against Russia – we all know what it is absolute nonsense,” Kirby said.
Statements of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the destruction of HIMARS
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation came up with the idea that they were able to destroy five launchers of American HIMARS multiple rocket launchers . So, at first, the Russian department announced the “destruction” of one HIMARS launcher, but later announced four more.
According to the Russians, they destroyed one HIMARS at the Mobik base in Makeyevka, and four more – allegedly in Druzhkovka.
Recall that after Ukraine received HIMARS installations, Russia has repeatedly claimed that it regularly destroys them. There is still no confirmation of such statements.

Mafia land has destroyed more HIMARS than Ukraine has received. But, funny how HIMARS keep destroying ruskie men and material.
The HIMARS are Ukraine’s best weapons. They are doing everything possible to keep each and every one of them unharmed. That is a fact. Mafia land can’t find any of the launchers and can’t even down their rockets. Wishful thinking is a part of their fantasy world.
