American companies are planning to buy out shares of some enterprises.

The US, Germany and Russia are negotiating the resumption of oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline . Washington is also pushing for Berlin to resume buying Russian gas.

An investigation by Correctiv and Important Stories noted that US companies are planning to buy a stake (54.17%) in Rosneft’s German subsidiary in the PCK oil refinery in Schwedt. The US is also interested in buying Rosneft’s stake in the MiRo refinery (24%) in Karlsruhe and Bayernoil (28.57%) in Vogburg.

It is noted that the negotiations are being led by Washington, and Germany is represented only by the Chancellor’s office and the Ministry of Finance, because the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was excluded due to the position of the head of the department, Annalena Baerbock, who spoke out against it.

An important condition of the deal could be Vladimir Putin’s agreement to the US proposal to introduce a temporary ceasefire in the war against Ukraine.

The investigation indicates that the US also wants Berlin to resume purchases of Russian gas.
