The US representative to the UN Security Council explained what Washington sees as the only way out
The US representative to the UN Security Council called Russia’s invasion of Ukraine a strategic failure and called on Iran and Cuba to stop supporting Moscow, according to Ukrinform.
What the US representative said
At a meeting of the UN Security Council, American diplomat Dan Negrea assessed Russia’s situation.
He said.that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has been a strategic failure. Its oil refineries are on fire. Moscow cannot achieve its goals on the battlefield. Escalation will not change this and will only risk worsening the catastrophe. This war must end immediately and it’s enough.
Negrea specifically addressed countries that support Russia. He named Iran — for supplying drones used in strikes on Ukraine — and Cuba — for allowing thousands of mercenaries to fight on Russia’s side. He called on both to immediately stop supporting Moscow’s military efforts.
US position on peace
At the same time, the diplomat stressed that the war has no military solution and can only end through negotiations. The US, he said, is ready to help achieve a lasting peace and has repeatedly communicated this to both sides.
The day before, Zelenskyy spoke with Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner — the conversation took place during a technical stop of the president’s plane in Chișinău.
Witkoff and Kushner are expected to visit Kyiv for the first time in the near future — an exact date has not yet been set.

And : as if Iran and Cuba would listen to instructions from this gormless “diplomat.”
Those who claim the war has no military solution do not know what they are blathering about. They want to sound smart but are only making fools of themselves.
I don’t understand it either. We’ve heard it for years and years by a lot of people smarter than I but I can’t imagine it either. Plus, they never even mention the possibility of an economic repeat of 1991.

Ukraine don’t need or want these two imbeciles involved in any way, shape or form. They have proved they are not independent arbitrators. No doubt that they want to interfere now that Ukraine are on the front foot, and come up with more ludicrous solutions to help the nazis.
I doubt they’ll ever show up.

Last week TACO walked away from the whole thing. This week TACO comes up with a new suggestion for a negotiator, a guy that was an envoy to the Moscow Orthodox church in the 2000s, and the real estate agents are back on the scene. All this as Europe comes up with it’s own peace proposals. Putler is doing everything he can to keep Europe out of it, but Ukraine will have the last say.
