US companies have become the leaders in the number of requests for cooperation with the Ukrainian defense industry in the first quarter of 2026.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Technological Forces of Ukraine association, which included 42 companies.
According to the published data, 90% of the surveyed domestic defense industry companies received proposals for cooperation from foreign manufacturers.
US business is the most active, accounting for 36% of all requests.
Germany (29%) and Denmark (21%) also show strong interest. The top five countries interested in cooperation with Ukrainian defense companies include the United Arab Emirates (19%) and the United Kingdom (17%).

Among the priority formats of cooperation, Ukrainian arms manufacturers highlight direct export of goods; this option was supported by 79% of respondents.
At the same time, the role of deeper cooperation is growing: 64% of companies are focused on creating joint ventures, and 43% on technology exports.
Recent examples of cooperation with foreign companies
As an example of deeper cooperation, last week the German company Quantum Systems announced the creation of two new joint ventures under the Building with Ukraine initiative.

The company told Militarnyi that the Quantum WIY Industries (QWI) enterprise, created together with Ukrainian partner WIY Drones, will work to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
Meanwhile, another company, Quantum Tencore Industries (QTI), founded in collaboration with Tencore, will focus on producing unmanned ground systems.

The Ukrainian company General Cherry and Croatian UAV manufacturer ORQA are also starting joint production of drone components in Ukraine.
In addition, domestic drone and missile manufacturer Fire Point and German air defense systems company Diehl Defence have signed a technology cooperation agreement.
It’s good business for Ukraine, but I have mixed feelings about helping the US while they do everything possible to pressure Ukraine.
