The United States approved the transfer to Ukraine of thousands of Stinger and Javelin complexes, hundreds of Switchblade kamikaze drones for protection in the war against the Russian Federation.
This is stated in the message of the US Department of Defense.
The weapons announcement came after the US approved another $100 million in support for Ukraine.
The Pentagon has published a list of weapons that have already arrived in Ukraine, as well as those that will be delivered.
The list of weapons for Ukraine includes:
- Over 1400 Stinger anti-aircraft systems
- Over 5,000 Javelin anti-tank systems
- Over 7000 other anti-tank systems
- Hundreds of tactical SwitchBlade drones
- Four radars for tracking anti-artillery and unmanned aerial systems
- Four anti-mortar radar systems
- Armored highly mobile multipurpose wheeled vehicles
- Over 50 million rounds
- 45 thousand sets of body armor and helmets
- Missile systems with laser guidance
- Puma unmanned aerial systems
- Night vision devices, thermal imaging and communication systems, optics
- Commercial satellite imagery services.

Western countries have already handed over to Ukraine about 60,000 anti-tank systems and 25,000 man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS).
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, General Mark Milley, said this at a meeting of the Senate Committee on Armed Services, Voice of America reports .
“They (Ukrainians) are extremely grateful for the 60,000 anti-tank systems and approximately 25,000 anti-aircraft systems that were sent by the United States, as well as our allies and partners,” Milley said.
