Yevgeny Polovodov, Russian propagandist and press officer of the Russian Ministry of Defense, was killed in the Kreminna sector.

The news was broadcast on Russia’s Rossiya 1 TV channel.

The filming of a report on the service of the Russian tank battalion, which took place on April 10 in the Serebrianskyi forest, was interrupted by an artillery strike by the Ukrainian military.

Several shells hit near the film crew, causing shrapnel wounds to Major Yevgeny Polovodov, a propagandist and employee of the press center of the Russian military grouping “West.”

Polovodov was evacuated from the site of the attack in a UAZ car, which, according to the reporter, was being chased by a Ukrainian FPV drone. However, the wounded invader did not survive the trip.

In addition to the reporter, Artem Yundas, another propagandist, was also injured in the incident, as well as the military personnel who accompanied them in the combat zone.

None of the film crew members had any insignia that would allow them to be identified as press. On the contrary, they were dressed in the uniforms of an infantryman of the Russian Armed Forces.

Oksana Romaniuk, Director of the Institute of Mass Information, equated the killed person with a combatant, explaining that “the helmet and body armor should be different from the military, for example, be blue.”

Battles in the forests of Kreminna

According to the soldiers of the 1st Presidential Burevii Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, since the beginning of the year, both sides in the area have moved to positional combat and focused on artillery and drone strikes.

“The enemy controls our movements and transportation, and we control theirs, respectively. In the Serebrianskyi forest, the enemy focuses on logistical movements, striking logistical “arteries.” This creates difficulties in the supply of ammunition and personnel,” Denys Zelenyi, officer of the operational planning section of the Khoryv Battalion, says.

According to Denys, attempts to influence Ukrainian logistics with artillery remain a key catalyst for constant artillery duels in this area.
