Ukrainian servicemen are holding back the enemy and themselves conducting counter-attack operations in the Pokrovske direction. As a result of active actions, the defenders managed to advance in the Dobropillya area and near Pokrovske.
Ukrainian troops also captured dozens of Russian prisoners on this section of the front, according to an analysis by the Institute for the Study of War.
Counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas
Geolocation footage released on October 22 shows that Ukrainian forces recently liberated Kucheriv Yar (northeast of Dobropillya). The Ukrainian Airborne Forces reported that Ukrainian forces captured more than 50 Russian prisoners of war during the liberation of the settlement.
In turn, Kremlin propagandists claimed that the occupiers had advanced in the Shakhovo area east of Dobropillya , but there is no confirmation of this claim. In general, Putin’s troops continue to attack east of Dobropillya in the Shakhovo area and southeast of Dobropillya in the Zapovedny and Mayak areas. In addition, Russian troops have recently advanced in the Pokrovsk area.

Enemy tactics near Pokrovskoye
Russian troops attacked near Pokrovsk itself ; north of Pokrovsk near Rodynskoye; northeast of Pokrovsk in the area of Krasny Liman, Sukhetskoye, and Novoekonomichesky; in the area of Promyny and Mykolaivka; southeast of Pokrovsk in the area of Lysivka; and southwest of Pokrovsk in the area of Zvirovoye, Kotlyny, Udachny, and Molodetsky.
A representative of the Ukrainian brigade operating in the Pokrovsky direction reported that Russian troops are conducting more frequent mechanized attacks in the Pokrovsky direction . The occupiers are also trying to take advantage of the worsening weather conditions, which are complicating the operations of Ukrainian drones.
As a reminder, in the Pokrovskoye direction, a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) was able to penetrate one of the industrial facilities. It was cleared by the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As OBOZ.UA reported, the Russian invaders continue to terrorize the civilian population in frontline settlements. Recently, the occupiers committed another war crime near Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
