In Monaco, on the evening of June 29, a powerful explosion occurred near a residential building on the border with France, injuring three members of a Ukrainian family.

According to law enforcement, the incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on Rue du Reverend Father Louis Frolle. A spokesman for the Monaco government said the explosion was caused by a “malicious act.”
Among the three wounded Ukrainians, both parents are in extremely serious condition. One minor is in moderate condition.
The suspect left the backpack and fled.
Surveillance cameras captured an unidentified man leaving a backpack at the entrance to the apartment building just before the explosion . He then fled on foot towards the nearby French town of Beausoleil.
The bomb detonated as other people were entering the building. It is not yet known whether they were the target of the attack.
Monaco prosecutor Stephane Thibaut confirmed that three people were hospitalized. Bomb disposal experts and forensic experts are working at the scene.

According to Nice Matin and BFMTV , the explosion occurred at around 9pm in the lobby of an apartment building on Rue Reveren-Perret-Louis-Folla. It is believed that an unknown man left a bag or backpack containing explosives in the building and then fled. The detonation occurred almost immediately after people entered the lobby.
Rescue services received the call at approximately 9:15 p.m. Five pieces of equipment and about 15 rescuers were sent to the scene.
According to media reports, three people, all members of the same family and Ukrainian citizens, were injured. A man and a woman aged 50-60 were hospitalized at Pasteur Hospital in Nice, and a teenager was hospitalized at Lenval Hospital.
Le Figaro later reported that one of the parents may be a Ukrainian oligarch, but the name was not disclosed. Both adults are in critical condition, while the 13-year-old boy is in stable condition.
Monaco Prime Minister Christophe Mirman suggested that the incident may have signs of a terrorist attack. He said the explosive device was likely loaded with bolts and shot.
“The police are currently collecting evidence. As far as I know, this is the first time in history that something like this has happened in the principality,” he noted.
