Ukrainian fighter pilot died on a combat mission

He left behind a wife and little son.

During the war in Ukraine, Major Andrei Tkachenko of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine died ; the pilot was 33 years old.

The death of a serviceman was reported on the Sambir Plast page on the social network Facebook . In 2014, he carried out combat missions in the ATO and Joint Forces Operation zone, and after the start of a full-scale war, he fought not only in the east, but also in the south of the country.

He died on March 8 while performing a combat mission in the skies of the Donetsk region. He left behind a wife and little son.

“The funeral will take place in Ivano-Frankivsk, where the deceased lived with his family. We will inform you about the day and time later. Eternal memory and glory to the Hero, soldier Andrei Tkachenko, who gave his life in the defense of Ukraine,” the message says.
