A representative of the former British Prime Minister claims that this visit was coordinated with the country’s Foreign Ministry.

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson secretly flew to negotiate with the President of Venezuela, Putin’s friend Nicolas Maduro. Their meeting took place in Caracas.
As the British newspaper The Times reports , citing sources, Johnson and Maduro, whose legitimacy the UK does not recognize, discussed the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Johnson arrived in Caracas on a private jet from the Dominican Republic, where he was vacationing with his family. He stayed in Venezuela for less than 24 hours.
According to sources, Johnson discussed with Maduro the Russian invasion of Ukraine and information about possible supplies of weapons and other military equipment from Venezuela to Russia. In addition, the parties also talk about ways to normalize relations between Venezuela and the UK.
A spokesman for ex-Prime Minister Johnson confirmed that the trip did take place, but it was allegedly not a secret. The negotiations allegedly took place “with the active support of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and with the knowledge of the Foreign Secretary.”

It’s probably useless, but still a good idea that Johnson, not currently part of UKs government, tried that. Even if there’s only a small chance to move a Putin ally away from supportibg that evil regime, it’s worth taking. Well done!
